YOUR SPACE. YOUR FILES.

Privacy,
in plain language.

Here is how the Keepiro 2.5.10 public release handles your data. It includes account sign-in, preview and download allowances, a local Library, and server processing of limited media details after your permission. A publisher-specific legal privacy policy will accompany the store release.

What stays in your browser

Keepiro temporarily holds account names, profile images, selections, media addresses, captured media details and collection progress in Chrome’s session storage. Persistent preferences, such as auto-loading selected stories, stay in Chrome’s local extension storage. Your Keepiro account session and media-processing permission are also stored locally, with access restricted to trusted extension pages.

Temporary media addresses clear when you close or leave an Instagram tab or restart Chrome. Reloading or updating may retain session data until it expires. Your Library is separate: account handles, media identifiers, thumbnails, favorites, collection names and download-history identifiers persist in the extension’s IndexedDB on this device until you remove them or uninstall. The Library does not store signed media addresses. Removing a Library item does not delete its downloaded file. Settings persist. Browser or Instagram caches and Chrome’s download history may remain until you delete them using your browser or operating system.

Your Instagram session

The extension uses the Instagram session already open in your browser to make read requests for available media. Its page component may temporarily read Instagram’s CSRF cookie and reuse relevant request headers for those requests.

Keepiro does not ask you to enter an Instagram password. Authentication cookies and headers are not stored in its extension storage or sent to the publisher. Instagram receives its own authenticated requests.

Media previews and downloads

To display a photo or play a video, Chrome requests media from Instagram’s media hosts. Checks and downloads use the media addresses captured for that Instagram tab. Files you choose to download stay in your download folder until you delete them.

Keepiro’s controls do not click Instagram’s story circles or intentionally send story-seen mutations. Instagram controls its servers and may record authenticated reads. Keepiro does not guarantee unrecorded or anonymous access.

What reaches Keepiro

Sign-in sends your email to Keepiro’s account service. Zoho delivers your sign-in code. Keepiro stores account, session, plan and usage records in its Cloudflare-hosted service. Preview and download allowance records use opaque media identifiers, not media URLs. Preview tickets are encrypted, bound to the signed-in Keepiro account, and expire within 24 hours. Unopened story images are not revealed in Keepiro until a preview is authorized. The public release is Free and has no checkout. It does not collect card details or send your data to a payment service. If paid plans launch, the payment provider and any new data handling will be disclosed before you purchase.

Media processing is off until you give permission in Account. When enabled, limited Instagram media details are sent to Keepiro: media addresses, account names and IDs, media IDs, dimensions, timestamps and video format information. This can include media already delivered to your Instagram page and media requested through Keepiro’s collection controls.

Media addresses can grant access to non-public content and are treated as sensitive. The extension filters out Instagram passwords, cookies, authentication headers, captions and messages before transmission. Image and video file contents are not uploaded to Keepiro. Its processing service uses media details in memory and does not write them to its database, shared cache or application logs. Hosting providers may still process routine connection metadata.

The extension has no advertising or analytics scripts. The scheduled cleanup removes expired sign-in challenges and sessions, rate-limit records older than one day, preview and download receipts older than 40 days, and webhook deduplication records older than 90 days. Daily aggregate usage is retained for approximately 70 to 100 days. Account, subscription and local Library records have a separate lifecycle; publisher contact details and an account-deletion process must be confirmed before the commercial release.

This website’s demo uses bundled, illustrative media and connects to no Instagram account. It includes no analytics scripts, external font requests or tracking cookies. Your selected demo accounts stay in page memory and reset when you reload.

When this website is hosted, its hosting provider may process routine connection information, such as IP addresses and requested pages, in server logs. The final publisher policy must identify the operator, hosting provider, retention practices and privacy contact.

Your controls

You can revoke media-processing permission in Account to stop new transfers and discard pending results. This cannot undo processing that has already occurred. Signing out also removes that permission. You can stop collection, clear temporary previews, delete Library entries or collections, remove downloaded files, change site-access permissions, or uninstall Keepiro. There is no subscription to cancel in this public release. Only access and use content you are authorized to access and use.

Product overview updated 10 October 2026. Keepiro is independent of Instagram and Meta.

Website appearance preference

If you choose Light or Dark, this website saves that preference in your browser under keepiro-theme. Choosing System removes the saved preference and follows your device. This setting stays in your browser and is not sent to a billing or analytics service.
